What is the SMS program?

AGC may send SMS text messages to patients who have consented to receive appointment-related text messages. These messages may include appointment reminders, appointment confirmations, scheduling updates, and rescheduling instructions.
How do I consent to receive text messages?

By providing your mobile phone number to Advanced Gastroenterology Center when scheduling an appointment, completing intake forms, or communicating with our office, you agree to receive SMS messages related to your appointments and scheduling activity. Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not required to receive medical care.
What types of messages will I receive?

You may receive messages about upcoming appointments, appointment confirmations, office scheduling updates, and instructions to contact the office if you need to reschedule. These messages are not used for marketing or promotional purposes.
How often will I receive messages?

Message frequency varies depending on your appointments and scheduling activity. You may receive one per appointment.
How do I opt out?

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message from Advanced Gastroenterology Center. After you reply STOP, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you opt in again. For clarification, Message and data rates may apply. How is my information protected?

Your mobile phone number and SMS consent information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Twilio specifically checks that SMS consent and phone number information are not shared for third-party or affiliate marketing.
